The real effect can't be seen by blog

Okay, so you can't really tell from this picture what makes this so cool, but what I am working on is a series of miniature outdoor park scenes on the interior of tins - cookie, tea or otherwise. This one is of central park and you have to see them in the flesh ( metal) to experience what these are all about. The gist is that they are little worlds to look into from an eyepiece I screw into place and they all contain a light source inside and the vantage point and scale change for each piece.

Little wooden dolls

These are great little " non flat" objects to do a little drawing on and are like 35 cents each at lee valley tools. I used a little black gesso, pencil and pencil crayon to make them into people.

These were made for fun only with my nephew Joshua. He's really really into drawing and you can create all sorts of imaginings out of objects like this. It helps kids to just continue on thinking outside the box.

'tween series #1

Although you can't really see yet how this 5 minute sketch might manifest itself into something inspirational, my intention is that the final work will do so.
I want to do a series of empowering images for 'tweens.
I have 'tween nieces and I would like nothing more than to inspire them in particular but I think there is a larger audience for this idea.
This image is a detail of what will become a larger painting about protesting injustice.
. The full concept hasn't evolved much past this 5 min sketch yet, however I'll update when it does.
