Joshua 2012
18" x 24" Acrylic on canvas of "Joshua" 2012. This picture was taken a few years ago but it needed painting. I'm not sure I'm done with it yet. Although I like it...

Lou
I painted my friend's daughter for her 40th birthday slash Christmas this year. This painting was from a photo she took last summer. This is my spin on it. To see her awesome photography visit http://www.facebook.com/westcoastwallis and http://paulawallisphotography.com/

Maquette for the Cannery Row painting
In the middle of trying to lay out a large painting of our building and the North Shore mountains for the lobby of Cannery Row. Figuring out where everything should go, a little collage and a little paint. Next up, adding some detail to the whole thing.

Finn # 1 and # 2
First I started with a drawing, trying to figure out where everything should go. I prefer using a light coloured pencil crayon because I can find my way without it causing too much of a problem until I get it right.
I ran out of light coloured pencil crayon, so I used a brownish colour. I don't like using it as much and I think it shows in the finished painting somehow... not the lines, but my feeling about the underdrawing.
I have since taken out my signature. I think it's distracting. 18" by 24" Finn # 1 and Finn # 2
I started a Finn #3 but I don't like it as much as I like these two. Finn is the perfect subject matter for me.
